TAAP Fabrication, meaning Trueblue Advanced Australian Products, is a Brisbane based orthotic manufacturing business supporting clinics, orthotists and allied health professionals throughout Australia and internationally.

Operating exclusively business to business, we work closely with healthcare professionals to manufacture custom orthotic devices according to their clinical prescriptions and individual specifications.

With over 24 years of hands on orthotic manufacturing experience, our team has extensive knowledge across thermoplastic and carbon fibre fabrication. We combine practical expertise, precision craftsmanship and attention to detail to manufacture devices designed for quality, function, comfort and durability.

Our People

About Me – Andrew Holland

I’m the Managing Director of TAAP Fabrication, with over 24 years of experience in orthotic manufacturing. My career has focused on developing and refining the processes used to manufacture high quality orthotic devices.

I hold Certificate III and IV qualifications in Polymer Processing and have extensive engineering experience. This allows me to approach fabrication with strong technical knowledge and practical problem solving skills. My speciality is polymer processing, where I use proven methods to achieve efficient, precise and reliable fabrication without compromising quality.

I’m always researching new products, materials and techniques to improve how we work and better support our clients. I believe great orthotic devices begin with great conversations. Every product we fabricate reflects our commitment to listening, learning and delivering solutions that meet each client’s requirements.

Building strong and lasting relationships with the businesses we work with is important to me. I enjoy working closely with clients, understanding their needs and taking on new challenges that help us continue to improve. I also collaborate with clinicians, researchers and suppliers to keep up with developments across the orthotics industry.

As Managing Director, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping develop the next generation of orthotic professionals. I regularly educate students and technicians and deliver presentations to industry professionals on orthotic fabrication, materials and manufacturing processes. I encourage a workplace culture built around precision, curiosity, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Outside of TAAP Fabrication, I’m a proud father of two sons and enjoy spending time with my family. I grew up on a farm in North Queensland, which gave me a strong appreciation for hard work, practical problem solving and working with my hands. When I’m away from the workshop, you’ll often find me camping or fishing with my family.

At TAAP Fabrication, I’m proud to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods. My goal is to ensure every device we manufacture meets our clients’ expectations for quality, consistency and performance.

Hayden Macleod

Hayden Macleod is a qualified mechanical engineer with a Certificate III in Polymer Processes with over seven years’ experience in orthopaedic manufacturing.

His early hands on work in the field sparked a passion for designing and producing devices that support the entire musculoskeletal system. After completing his apprenticeship, he earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology. Since then, he has expanded his expertise through involvement in major railway infrastructure projects across Queensland.

Outside of engineering, Hayden is also a certified youth football coach, dedicated to developing young athletes.

Chloe Edmondson

Chloe Edmondson is qualified in Business Administration and has 3 years of experience. This has developed her strong attention to detail and adaptability, allowing her to confidently support a range of tasks and responsibilities.

Chloe joined the manufacturing team mid-2025 and will be undertaking a certificate 3 in polymer processes, specialised in orthopaedic manufacturing. Outside of work, she enjoys playing Hockey and travelling.
